It is no secret that many of our children in today's world are living a life directly influenced by their impulses and are severely affected by the high demands and the pressures of school and home life causing an overwhelming amount of unnecessary stress.

Mindfulness, a simple and powerful tool, allows children to slow down and pay close attention to their thoughts, feelings and experience on a moment by moment basis. Yoga and mindfulness lessons can provide children with a set of tools for creating space between the input of life experiences and the output of their reactions offering the ability to cope with stress and make better conscious decisions in school, at home, and in everyday life.

My unique child/teen classes are a blend of mindfulness lessons and discussion, taught through yoga postures, partner poses, games and crafts. The idea is to teach children essential life skills such as self awareness, self-regulation, concentration and compassion through yoga and have fun in a non-competitive environment.
